Travel: Needle in a Haystack

Getting to Cannon Beach, OR took a while as the road is long and the speed limits low, but it was well worth it. The weather, even though it rained a bit, was better than in Seattle and together with my wife and daughter we enjoyed the stay (as well as cheap and yummy breakfasts at Pig ‘N Pancake 🙂 I’ve always enjoyed sunsets and sunrises and I tried really hard to capture their beauty – especially with the beautiful […]

Travel: Weekend of Rain

Our short, just over the weekend, stay in Vancouver was full of cloudy skies and torrents of rain (just like in good old Seattle 😀 I did my best to get some shots with the 16-35mm f/4 lens, but believe me – it was hard. The camera was dripping wet within seconds, but thanks to the weather sealing nothing got damaged. The good side of the bad weather was that most people stayed home and most of the places were […]

The perfect morning

Last weekend we awoke to a beautiful morning – the sun was shining, not a cloud on the sky – a hard to miss event in our cloudy and rainy Seattle. With a indirect window light it created a gorgeous light in the bedroom. I grabbed my camera, 50mm 1.4f lens and started snapping photos of Zoë. Sometimes the photograph looks like it was taken during the winter, with snow covering ground and trees. With my […]

Photo shoot: Maja

My first thought of Maja (pronounced “Maya”) was “Damn, she is tall!”, but perhaps seeing her from the perspective of mere 5’8” made me a bit biased, ha ha!. Standing 5’11” tall Maja is a very talented and beautiful model – and working with her was a very fun and creative event. Turns out, that Maja (like myself) is a vegetarian, likes Indian food and has already seen a chunk of the world 🙂 Maja – have fun during your […]

Photo shoot: Zoë Annabelle (and Out :-)

I managed to snap a few quick photos during family visit, and my wife managed to snap one of me and Zoë as well 🙂 Few days later we finally received some of the props (hats, hammock, etc) and immediately used them in a shoot  (following photos)

Photo shoot: Zoë Annabelle (In)

Kama’s water broke at 9pm on Saturday, January 1st 2011 while playing Bowling on Xbox 360 Kinect and after 6.5 hours of active labor she gave birth to our daughter. Zoë Annabelle Rak was welcomed to our world on Sunday, January 2nd 2011 at 7:30am. Her weight was 2610 grams (5lbs 12oz) and her height was 45cm (17.7”) . Tiny bundle of joy, but a hungry one. Just a week earlier (around Christmas) we had a maternity photo session and […]
