It’s been almost 4.5 years since Zoë got her first passport and it’s about time to get it renewed. Aidan’s passport is still valid, but we’ve decided to renew it too to make things a bit easier in the future. Instead of going to a photo shop and getting a sorry excuse for a photo (most of them are quite bad) I’ve decided to have some fun and take photos myself. I’ve set up lighting in our living room and invited family for […]
The faire took place in mid-August (one of the more pleasant days this summer) at Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake, WA. It run over the period of three weekends, each featured different outfits: pirates, fairies and finally, royal masquerade. We attended the 2nd one (fairies) and were greeted by fauns, Pan and fairies as well as the usual medieval outfits. The area itself was filled with stalls selling outfits, weapon replicas, drinks (yummy root beer sold in blue bottles), food […]
Another month – another running event with mud, sweat and beer 😀 Dirty Dash 2012 took place in McCleary, WA (at Straddleline Raceway), just past Olympia, though strangely the organizers called it Tacoma (or even Seattle if you look at the event’s link) .. year, right. Anyway, Kama and I run in the 10:20am wave – I must say, that for someone who gave birth a little bit over a month ago, she did remarkably well – aside from the […]
After witnessing last years Dirty Dash in Kent I’ve decided to join the fun and signed up for 3 big events this year: Warrior Dash, Dirty Dash and Gladiator Rock’n Run. All of them involve some kind of obstacle run (mud, barb wire, nets, ropes, tires, etc) and have varying distance of about 5k to 6k. That’s about 3.2 to 3.8 miles or something like that – when will US finally join the rest of the world and use easy […]
Finally started processing Day 3 of Sakura-Con 2012 as other things in life took priority. With some luck I should be done processing the rest of the photos by tomorrow or Thursday. Again, as with previous posts – let me know if you’d want to get high-res files.
Continuation from my previous post about Sakura-Con. Below are photos from Day 2 – Saturday. I took a lot of photos that day and going through them all will take a while – so stay tuned and enjoy the show 🙂 Update 04/19/2012: finished processing all of the photos from Day 2 – will upload them all later today. Update 04/23/2012: finished uploading all of the photos from Day 2 – Enjoy 🙂
The weekend has arrived and along with nice weather (finally!) came thousands of fans of Anime (Japanese Animation), called Otaku. Seattle Convention Center was filled to the brim with people dressed in costumes from multitude of different movies, series and games (sometimes not particularly Japanese). Legend of Zelda, Princess Mononoke, Bleach, Pokémon, Homestuck (MS Paint Adventures), Catherine, Assassins Creed, Avatar: The Last Airbender just to name a few. So far I’ve covered part of Friday, but will try to attend […]
