AROUND the WORLD
Following recent post of a past adventures, here are some photos from Barcelona (in Spain) taken during our RTW trip in 2009.
Finally got to processing some of the remaining photos from our 2009/2010 RTW trip – here are some photos from France (both Paris and Azille).
We’ve finally arrived in Ubud – place popular with tourist wanted to repeat Elizabeth Gilbert’s “Love” experience from “Eat, Pray, Love” (later portrayed on the silver screen by Julia Roberts). The town is located in among lush green hills, has its own Monkey Sanctuary and a busy two-faced market. Market itself has two, completely opposite, faces. One, which exists only very early in the morning – time when locals get fresh fruits, meats and spices. And a later one – […]
After living for the past several months in Australia it was time for us to travel again and visit a new place. But which one? The choice became quite easy after JetStar offered cheap return flights to Bali, Indonesia using their new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Our first stop was Seminyak – a quiet area located in the southern part of Bali (just few minutes north of noisy Kuta by taxi). We’ve enjoyed few days of cheap massage ($6/hour :-), Indonesian […]
We’ve started our adventure with Jamaica in Montego Bay, where we stayed in Sunset Beach Resort Spa and Waterpark. The resort had its own waterpark and offered a kit of entertainment in the evening, but was located quite a distance from the Montego Bay itself (I guess that’s the reason behind an all-inclusive hotel). Zoë was amazing everyone by fearlessly jumping into a pool and swimming underwater in a hot tub. Hopefully Aidan will do the same soon 🙂 After […]
While still in the US I signed up for a 10k obstacle run called the True Grit. The run took place north of Sydney which made it harder to get to since we didn’t have the car. A plan was born to rent a car and use it to get to the race AND to visit someplace in the New South Wales. And that’s how we’ve ended up in Nelson Bay / Port Stephens area with its enormous dunes. […]
After spending few days in Amsterdam it was time to visit our last stop – Paris, France. We’ve spend our time sightseeing such places as Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge and of course the Palace of Versailles (in which it was easy to get lost for hours).
We’ve arrived in Amsterdam in the late afternoon following a short flight from Wroclaw to Eindhoven (via WizzAir) then taking the train. The city was very unique – full of canals, bicycles and Coffee Shops (in which it’s legal to smoke cannabis). It even had its own Red District with ladies willing to fulfill (some of) your desires for just a handful of Euros .. or so I’ve heard 🙂
After Zoe’s birth we decided to visit Europe to see the family (especially her grandparents who were eager to see their first grandchild). Together with our friends Chis and Seng we planned a pretty big trip which covered 3 countries (Poland, Holland and France). This post is about the first of those stops – Poland. Pictures come from multiple cameras and owners (Derek’s camera, Chris’ camera, Kama’s camera and Derek’s Mom camera). Some photos from Wroclaw (Derek’s hometown) And here […]
