Event: UW Garage Shoot
Last Saturday I participated in a photo shoot organized by Seattle Flickr group which took place on the C5 level of UW Garage. Strange place to organize a shoot, but it was fun nonetheless. After brief introduction it was clear we had more photographers than models and that most of the photographers didn’t have any lighting available.
I set my lights, tried them out on an obscure wall then started looking for someone to be my model. I found two young women, twins Aubrey & Alex – one a horse-riding instructor, the other a school teacher. Both of them did an amazing job as my models throughout part of the evening.
I also took few photos of other people and will be posting them here soon as well (once finished processing).
I shared my lighting equipment, but due to the nature of my triggers (FlexTT5 by PocketWizards) I was only able to share it with fellow Nikon camera owners. I had even tried switching it to SU-4 mode (optical trigger), but had to turn it off as my SB-900 flash started to overheat pretty quickly. Reason: it was triggered whenever someone around popped their flash.
