Travel: Needle in a Haystack
Getting to Cannon Beach, OR took a while as the road is long and the speed limits low, but it was well worth it. The weather, even though it rained a bit, was better than in Seattle and together with my wife and daughter we enjoyed the stay (as well as cheap and yummy breakfasts at Pig ‘N Pancake 🙂
I’ve always enjoyed sunsets and sunrises and I tried really hard to capture their beauty – especially with the beautiful beaches and spectacular Haystack Rock and Needles. It meant waking up at 4am (sunrise at 5:20am) and staying up late (sunset at 8:50pm) (ouch!) – but I got the place almost all to myself (aside from fellow photographer Cindy Bell – you can check her site here).
